Review of Roadmaster Tow Bar Wiring - Splices into Vehicle Wiring - RO54FR

Today we're going take a look at the Roadmaster Smart Diodes for the variable voltage LED taillights for a quantity of two diodes. Now these smart diodes will allow a motor home that's towing a car to use that car's rear lights if the car has variable voltage LED lights. Now the variable voltage taillights use the same wire to power both the brake lights and the tail lights, and they do this by using a 12 volt signal for the brakes and a nine volt signal for the taillights. So if a regular wiring diode is used with the variable voltage taillights, then the bulb will light up as though the vehicles breaking whenever the taillights are on. That is you can't tell the difference between the brake lights or the running lights. So these smart diodes will correctly modulate the voltage to activate only the intended circuit, and the result is your vehicle lighting will look and function as it's intended. Now if your vehicle does use incandescent lights, we do sell a separate kit that would work for the incandescent lights, and that's part number RO34FR and again, that's sold separately on our website. more
